At one time, Abu Nuwas had visited a woman in tears because her husband's condition cough that does not heal.
"I've visited all famous healer and shaman to find a cure for my husband. But nothing worked. Please sir, how can I make my husband cough cured," she said.
Abu Nuwas think for a moment. Later he gave a glass of water to the woman. "Drinks of water is to your husband," tell Abu Nuwas.
"Whether the water was coughing my husband will be cured?" she asked hesitantly.
"Must be recovered," said Abu Nuwas fully confident, as if he had the power to cure disease.
So while bend sign of gratitude, she was carrying water to his house, and gave it to her husband. A few weeks later, she came back to Abu Nuwas while angry. "After spending the provision of water from sir, ny husband was not well, and even death," the woman said in a loud voice.
Abu Nuwas silent. After grieving woman seemed calm again, Abu Nuwas said, "Sorry, ma'am. About death is not my authority. Because death is in the hands of God. I just stated, by drinking water from me, your husband must have cured the disease cough.
"But the fact that my husband died," she said.
"Patient first, ma'am. After your husband's died, whether he still coughing?" said Abu Nuwas tried to defend himself.
"No. Where there are dead people can cough!" she said.
"That what I mean. Cough is better, right? The husband finally died, so did the end of every human life. Me and you will die, how well can prevent death if God has determined the destiny of his death," Abu Nuwas explained never wanted wit.
